Historia de nuestra Comunidad.

Antecedentes

Tras varios años de pertenecer a la Espiritualidad de los hijos de la Madre de Dios, varios laicos jóvenes, de Cali -Valle, Colombia en su mayoria, nos vimos motivados a abrazar la vida religiosa y sacerdotal, en una Espiritualidad basada en la imitación de la Santísima Virgen María en la forma de “Recibir, Vivir y Dar a Jesucristo.”  Esto en la línea del Santo Padre Juan Pablo II, quien había manifestado el “TOTUS TUS,” que generó tanta motivación a los jóvenes en la Iglesia. 

History of our Community.

Background


After several years of belonging to the Spirituality of the children of the Mother of God, several young lay people from Cali -Valle, Colombia in their majority, we were motivated to embrace religious and priestly life, in a Spirituality based on the imitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the form of "Receiving, Living and Giving to Jesus Christ." This in line with the Holy Father John Paul II, who had manifested the "TOTUS YOUR," which generated so much motivation for young people in the Church.

1.   Primera Etapa

 

La etapa fundacional de nuestra Comunidad de la Inmaculada Concepción comienza en la Diócesis de Facatativá, Cundinamarca, Colombia, el 13 de Enero de 1991 y se consolida como fundación comunitaria el 26 de Septiembre de 1991 denominándose de la  “Inmaculada Concepción”. El Señor obispo Gabriel Romero Franco, conoce la intención de iniciarla y la avala dándole posibilidades de existencia en la parroquia Santa María de Puente de Piedra, de su diócesis. Durante tres años seguidos, el Señor obispo acompañó la obra de manera cercana y finalmente avaló a sus miembros considerándolos idóneos para iniciar sus estudios teológicos en el naciente seminario mayor de su jurisdicción que el se proponía iniciar en el año 1994; este hecho implicaba que debíamos disolver la experiencia fraterna, a lo que le pedimos que reconsiderara su postura pues considerábamos como una gracia de Dios el poder ser una fraternidad para la diócesis, ante esto el manifestó la imposibilidad de manejar dos cleros, y nos dejó en libertad de buscar un obispo que comprendiera nuestra iniciativa.  

1. First Stage

 The founding stage of our Community of the Immaculate Conception begins in the Diocese of Facatativá, Cundinamarca, Colombia, on January 13, 1991 and is consolidated as a community foundation on September 26, 1991, being called the "Immaculate Conception". Bishop Gabriel Romero Franco, knows the intention to initiate it and endorses it by giving him possibilities of existence in the Santa María parish of Puente de Piedra, of his diocese. For three years in a row, the Lord Bishop accompanied the work closely and finally endorsed its members considering them suitable to begin their theological studies in the nascent major seminary of their jurisdiction that he proposed to start in 1994; this fact implied that we should dissolve the fraternal experience, to which we asked him to reconsider his position because we considered it a grace of God to be able to be a fraternity for the diocese, before this he manifested the impossibility of managing two clergy, and left us in freedom to look for a bishop who understood our initiative.

2.   Segunda Etapa

 

Nos presentamos a los obispos de la diócesis de Villavicencio, Monseñor Gregorio Garavito Jiménez Obispo titular y Monseñor Alfonso Cabezas Aristizábal, Obispo auxiliar con derecho a sucesión. Los obispos consideraron nuestra propuesta y el 9 de Enero de 1994 nos trasladamos a la diócesis de Villavicencio, radicándonos en la parroquia de la Inmaculada Concepción muy cerca del Seminario Mayor de la diócesis que había sido inaugurado el 11 de febrero del año anterior. Ahí realizamos estudios filosóficos y  teológicos como estudiantes externos, viviendo en nuestras casas de formación.

 

Esta  segunda etapa se constituyó en fase de consolidación y organización de nuestra fraternidad, donde el señor obispo, más que en el ordenamiento jurídico insistió en el aspecto de la vivencia del Evangelio en nuestra naciente fraternidad. En este tiempo se realizaron la primera emisión de promesas privadas temporales.

Los Señores Obispos: Alfonso Cabezas Aristizábal y Octavio Ruiz Arenas respectivamente nos concedieron las debidas aprobaciones “Ad experimentum” como pía Asociación de fieles.

-        Decreto número 05 de  enero 12 de 1995, por el cual se aprueba “La Comunidad de la Inmaculada Concepción” “Ad experimentum” y por un período de tres años, expedido por Monseñor Alfonso Cabezas A. – Obispo de Villavicencio y P. Moisés Rodríguez Canciller Diocesano.

 

-        Decreto número 17 de marzo 23 de 1999, por el cual se refrenda la aprobación Canónica Diocesana de la Asociación de la Inmaculada Concepción, por un período de tres años nuevamente,  “Ad experimentum”. Firman Monseñor Alfonso Cabezas A. Obispo de Villavicencio y P. Moisés Rodríguez Canciller Diocesano.

 

-        Decreto número 023 de abril 05 de 2002, por el cual se aprueba por un año “Ad experimentum” la “Asociación Inmaculada Concepción”, Firman Monseñor Octavio Ruiz Arenas  Obispo Administrador Apostólico Diócesis  de Villavicencio y P. Luis Alberto Medina Urrego- Canciller.

 

-        Decreto número 032 de mayo 13 de 2003, por el cual se aprueba por un año “Ad experimentum” la “Asociación Inmaculada Concepción”, Firman Monseñor Octavio Ruiz Arenas  Obispo  de Villavicencio y P. Oscar Yesid Mora Parrado Canciller.

 

Entre 1997 y 1999 se ordenaron 8 clérigos; durante este periodo asumimos 4 parroquias rurales y otros servicios en la diócesis. Continuando, alternamente, con el delicado trabajo de la formación de nuestros jóvenes integrantes de la obra, la consolidación de los procesos de formación y el apoyo a la espiritualidad laical. 

2. Second Stage

We present ourselves to the bishops of the diocese of Villavicencio, Monsignor Gregorio Garavito Jiménez titular Bishop and Monsignor Alfonso Cabezas Aristizábal, Auxiliary Bishop with right to succession. The bishops considered our proposal and on January 9, 1994 we moved to the Diocese of Villavicencio, moving to the parish of the Immaculate Conception very close to the Major Seminary of the diocese that had been inaugurated on February 11 of the previous year. There we carry out philosophical and theological studies as external students, living in our houses of formation.



This second stage was constituted in the consolidation and organization phase of our fraternity, where the bishop, more than in the legal system, insisted on the aspect of the experience of the Gospel in our nascent fraternity. During this time, the first issuance of temporary private promises was made.

The Lords Bishops: Alfonso Cabezas Aristizábal and Octavio Ruiz Arenas respectively granted us the proper approvals "Ad experimentum" as pious Association of the faithful.

- Decree number 05 of January 12, 1995, approving "The Community of the Immaculate Conception" "Ad experimentum" and for a period of three years, issued by Monsignor Alfonso Cabezas A. - Bishop of Villavicencio and Fr. Moisés Rodríguez, Diocesan Chancellor.


 Decree number 17 of March 23 of 1999, by which the Diocesan Canonical approval of the Association of the Immaculate Conception is endorsed, for a period of three years again, "Ad experimentum". Sign Monsignor Alfonso Cabezas A. Bishop of Villavicencio and P. Moisés Rodríguez Diocesan Chancellor.


Decree number 023 of April 05 of 2002, by which the "Immaculate Conception Association" is approved for one year "Ad experimentum", Signor Monseñor Octavio Ruiz Arenas Bishop Apostolic Administrator Diocese of Villavicencio and Fr. Luis Alberto Medina Urrego- Chancellor.


 Decree number 032 of May 13, 2003, by which the "Immaculate Conception Association" is approved for one year "Ad experimentum", Signor Monseñor Octavio Ruiz Arenas Bishop of Villavicencio and P. Oscar Yesid Mora Parrado Chancellor.


Between 1997 and 1999, 8 clerics were ordained; During this period we assumed 4 rural parishes and other services in the diocese. Continuing, alternately, with the delicate work of the formation of our young members of the work, the consolidation of the formation processes and the support to lay spirituality.

3.  Tercera Etapa.

 

En el año 2000, tras la renuncia de Monseñor Alfonso Cabezas Aristizábal, es designado como Administrador Apostólico Monseñor Octavio Ruiz Arenas, quien, imprimió un nuevo orden a la diócesis, llevándola a su erección como Arquidiócesis.

El señor obispo, comenzó un acompañamiento a las nuevas comunidades, impulsándolas a un ordenamiento jurídico.

Con la debida aprobación de Monseñor Octavio Ruiz Arenas, se dio inicio a una primera fase de servicio pastoral a las iglesias necesitadas en América y Europa,  se abren las misiones de República Dominicana, Bogotá en  Colombia, y la formación permanente de los sacerdotes en Roma en convenio con la diócesis de Albano.

Esta etapa fortaleció más nuestra Asociación enriqueciéndola con la ordenación sacerdotal de 13 miembros más, los cuales apoyaron la formación, y dieron ayuda a la Arquidiócesis en las parroquias de difícil acceso y trabajo pastoral. La vivencia en comunidad nos permite colaborar desde la comunión hacia la misión.

El 7 de diciembre de 2006, el señor Arzobispo, mediante decreto 055 manifestó la erección canónica de la comunidad como “Asociación Pública de fieles” con miras a ser “Sociedad de Vida Apostólica.”

3. Third Stage.


In the year 2000, after the resignation of Monsignor Alfonso Cabezas Aristizábal, is designated as Apostolic Administrator Monsignor Octavio Ruiz Arenas, who, printed a new order to the diocese, taking it to its erection as an Archdiocese.

The bishop began an accompaniment to the new communities, promoting them to a legal system.

With the due approval of Monsignor Octavio Ruiz Arenas, an initial phase of pastoral service to the churches in need in America and Europe was opened, the missions of the Dominican Republic, Bogotá in Colombia, and the ongoing formation of the priests in Rome were opened in agreement with the Diocese of Albano.

This stage strengthened our Association further by enriching it with the priestly ordination of 13 more members, who supported the formation, and gave assistance to the Archdiocese in the parishes of difficult access and pastoral work. Living in community allows us to collaborate from communion to mission.


On December 7, 2006, the Lord Archbishop, through Decree 055, declared the canonical erection of the community as "Public Association of the faithful" with the aim of being "Society of Apostolic Life."

4.  Cuarta Etapa.

 

En el año 2007, la santa Sede ha promovió al Señor Arzobispo Octavio Ruiz Arenas, a la Vicepresidencia de la Pontificia Comisión para América Latina ( CAL), quedando una vez más el proceso de aprobación en manos de un nuevo obispo: Monseñor Oscar Urbina Ortega, quien desde el mes de enero del año 2008 se ha posesionado de la Arquidiócesis y ha venido acompañando nuestro proceso hasta el momento presente, acogiendo con solicitud nuestras inquietudes acerca de las condiciones fundamentales de la obra y permitiéndonos entrar en una nueva etapa de discernimiento, sobre el lugar de la sede jurídica de nuestra Asociación publica de fieles, dando libertad para un cambio de diócesis y la búsqueda de la fundacion como Sociedad de Vida Apostólica.

 

En el mes de septiembre de 2009, se ordenan, por imposición de manos de Monseñor Oscar Urbina Ortega 3 nuevos diáconos que terminan sus estudios en el Seminario mayor de la Arquidiócesis de Villavicencio. 

4. Fourth Stage.

In 2007, the Holy See promoted Archbishop Octavio Ruiz Arenas to the Vice Presidency of the Pontifical Commission for Latin America (CAL), leaving once again the approval process in the hands of a new bishop: Monsignor Oscar Urbina Ortega , who since January of 2008 has taken possession of the Archdiocese and has been accompanying our process to the present moment, welcoming our concerns about the fundamental conditions of the work and allowing us to enter a new stage of discernment, on the place of the legal headquarters of our Public Association of the faithful, giving freedom for a change of diocese and the search for the foundation as a Society of Apostolic Life.


In the month of September 2009, three new deacons were ordered by Monsignor Oscar Urbina Ortega to finish their studies at the Major Seminary of the Archdiocese of Villavicencio.

5.   Quinta Etapa.

 

En el año 2009 se concreta con Monseñor Dominique Rey Obispo de la diócesis de Frejus-Toulon, la acogida y el traslado de la sede jurídica a su sede episcopal, para iniciar en ella el proceso fundacional de la Sociedad de Vida Apostólica, sin perder la secuencia historico-juridica que se adelanto en la Arquidiócesis de Villavicencio. Se constituye  la diócesis de Frejus-Toulon, como nueva sede jurídica de la Asociación Publica de fieles de la Inmaculada Concepción y al Señor obispo Dominique Rey como obispo Tutor protector.

5. Fifth Stage.

In 2009, Monsignor Dominique Rey Bishop of the Diocese of Frejus-Toulon met with the reception and transfer of the legal headquarters to his episcopal see, to initiate the founding process of the Society of Apostolic Life, without losing historical-legal sequence that was advanced in the Archdiocese of Villavicencio. The Diocese of Frejus-Toulon is constituted as the new legal headquarters of the Public Association of the Faithful of the Immaculate Conception and the Lord Bishop Dominique Rey as Protector Guardian Bishop.
